Moreover, our significant investment in the estate has paved the way for better facilities and services for all those who rely on us for their healthcare needs.
Berwick Hospital
A new 21st-century hospital will replace the old Berwick Infirmary. The £35 million build will feature a state-of-the-art hospital and will refresh buildings that staff work in so they’re suitable for patients and workers.
Northumbria Health & Care Academy
Completed in June 2024, the £32 million development on the site of the Northumbria Hospital in Cramlington features a training centre of excellence for nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals, office spaces and meeting rooms.
Hexham Hospital redevelopment
The programme is being delivered in partnership with Identity Consult and Integrated Health Projects (IHP), a joint venture between VINCI Building and Sir Robert McAlpine, as construction consultancy and principal contractor. Over the past two years, £15 million has been invested to deliver the work that has been completed to date.
