Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management’s Security Team ensures a safe, calm and controlled environment for our patients, staff and visitors.
They provide an on-site presence, patrolling the hospital sites and grounds and monitoring CCTV to ensure all is well. As well as being trained in de-escalating tense situations they are trained in control and restraint when necessary as a last resort. The team use body worn cameras to help deter unwanted behaviours and to assist with the management of difficult situations.
The security team are also responsible for car park management, providing advice and generating solutions to any parking difficulties.
