
The prestigious Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards have listed their finalists for this year, with Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital Health and Wellbeing Centre being shortlisted for Staff Wellbeing Initiative of the Year.
The Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards recognise excellence in the latest innovations from leading names in the healthcare sector.
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has always had a strong commitment to supporting its staff, and strongly believes that if the workforce is happy and healthy, this will filter through into the care that is delivered to patients.
The Health and Wellbeing Centre, which opened in November 2021, has been recognised in the Staff Wellbeing Initiative of the Year award and demonstrates Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s dedication to ensuring the mental health and wellbeing of their staff. The centre has a variety of comfortable seating areas accompanied by a range of “touch-down” workspaces. As well as comfortable seating and working areas, the centre also offers 24-7 catering facilities, an affordable health club, gym and wellness space offering fitness classes, mothers nursing room and accessible toilets.
