Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management’s Medical Engineering teams carry out a full in-house service solution for the management of medical devices, throughout the whole lifecycle of the equipment.
From advising on equipment procurement, our teams also carry out commissioning of new devices and perform Planned Preventative Maintenance, calibration and repair of a wide range of medical devices, to minimise down time to ensure that equipment is available for use, which is clinically accurate and is safe for all our staff, visitors and patients.
A comprehensive history for each medical device is held on our asset database, which allows us to react quickly and effectively to medical device recalls or MHRA alerts.
Our experienced Technicians attend a wide range of in-house and manufacturer’s training courses to keep their skills up to date and are certified to maintain life critical Patient Ventilators, Anaesthesia Systems, Patient Monitoring, Telemetry and Infusion devices, including those in Oncology and other specialist areas.
